Instructors. These are the instructors that we intend to engage at Toppen Summer Music School in 2006. Most of them have been at the Summer Music School for several years.
Trond Wika. Musically responsible and instructor on violin. District musician and pedagogue at Vefsn Culture School and Mosjøen’s musical college/high school. Has wide experience as a musician, and is a particularly skilful pedagogue for children and youth. He is the leader for Helgeland Sinfonietta, and concert master in Mosjøen Orchestra. Nicholas Carthy. CONDUCTOR. Nicholas Carthy belongs to Europe’s elite among conductors, and conducts frequently at leading opera houses and orchestras. Because of his unique teaching ability he is very sought after by youth orchestras. With Carthy as the conductor for Nordland’s Youth Symphony Orchestra during the Toppen course, this new establishment will have a real boost at the start.
Terje Moe Hansen. VIOLIN. Professor at the Norwegian Academy of Music and the Academy of Music in Malmö, Sweden. He has created himself an image as one of Scandinavia’s best string pedagogues for children and youth. .
Eline Sundal. CELLIST employed as district musician in Nesna. After studies in Bergen and London is it with great pleasure we wish her wellcome to Helgeland and the Toppen summer music school.
Aelita Osadchuk. VIOLIN. Competent violinist from Petrozavodsk, Russia. Ordinarily playing in Tromsø Symphony Orchestra..
Johanna-Franziska Wika. PIANO. Particularly gifted pianist and sought after pedagogue. Teacher at Mosjøen’s musical college/highschool. Former province musician and teacher at the Music Conservatory of Tromsø. Leader for Talenforum Nordland, which collaborates with Toppen Summer Music School..
Siw Burman. VIOLIN. Teacher in Lycksele, Sweden. Competent folk music performer, and one of the forces behind Rainbow Strings.
Pia Karin Helsing. CELLO. Teaches in Lycksele, Sweden, but is originally from Finland. Colorful perfomer within a wide range of music genres.
Maria Frolova. VIOLA and other types of folk music instruments. Energetic leader for the folk music group “Jouhiko” from Petrozavodsk, Russia,.
Jorunn Perander. DOUBLE BASS. Comes from Harstad and is studying at the Norwegian State Academy of Music in Oslo. Last year she studied at the academy in Dresden.
Tuomas Logren. VIOLIN and different folk music instruments. Finnish folk musician educated at the Sibelius akademy. Leader of the group "Rämpsäkät" and instructor for Rainbow Strings at Toppen.
Gunnhild Leenheer Nordahl. VIOLA. One of our own prides who is currently studying at the Norwegian State Academy of Music.
Ida Kristine Hansen. Our own great violin talent who is currently studying at the Norwegian State Academy of Music.
Sergej Osadchuk. PIANO. Excellent pianist with education from the Conservatory in Moscow. Teaches at the Music Conservatory of Tromsø.
Sjalg Wika. THEORY. Treasured pedagogue and musician with a special fondness for jazz. Was teaching at the music college/highschool in Mosjøen until he retired in 2005.
Jan Gunnar Hoff. He comes from Bodø, and is the province’s eminent JAZZPIANIST. Works all over Norway and holds jazz courses for advanced learners.
Ernst Wiggo Sandbakk. PERCUSSION. Teacher at yhe Music Concervatory at NTNU in Trondheim where he has been central in the development of the jazz-section.
Ketil Pedersen. Since early 80th employed as OBOIST in northern Norway. First in Mosjøen and later in Narvik.
Knut Torbjørnsen. BASOON. Working in Bodø where he is member of Bodø Sinfonietta.
Brith-Johanne Nikolaisen. HORN. Member of the Vefsn-Ensemble in Mosjøen. Long experience as conductor for band. Is also an excellent executor on the folk-music instrument " barklure"
Håvard Vegge. FLUTE. With his extraordinary knowledge of languages, Håvard will probably be a popular person in the international atmosphere at Toppen. After studies at the State Academy in Oslo, he has for two years been a member of the Vefsn-Ensemble where he also make a great contribution as producer.
